Our Dance Classes

Baby Ballet

Ages: 2.5 to 5
An introduction to Ballet, in a fun and friendly class that uses imagery and magical adventures each week to keep the little ones smiling!

We use stimulating and fun music to help our littlest dancers learn the basic technique, poise and co-ordination.

Once our babies reach the age of 5, they will move up to the Pre-Primary class.

Ages: 5+
Ballet is a beautiful art form, allowing us to be expressive, fluid and free.

While taking a Ballet class you will learn the basic Ballet moves from the very beginning and then build on your technique.

Ballet increases your flexibility, strength, speed and balance as well as giving you finesse, endurance and mental focus.

Ages: 5+
When children and adults start learning Tap, straight away they love the sound that the tap shoes make.

It's a relaxed style of dance which is fun and is equally rewarding when achieving each new step.

Some of the greatest and most famous dancers were incredible “tappers” - Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and most recently Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone could be seen tapping in the Oscar winning film “La La Land”.

Ages: 5+
Modern dance is a dance style that allows a dancer's own interpretation and has a more relaxed feel than Ballet.

We also cover Jazz in this lesson and this style is fun and energetic with quick moves, footwork, leaps and turns. The Modern dance style is more down to the ground, using the body weight to enhance movement.

In most theatre shows, music videos, music and commercials, you will see Modern and Jazz dance. This is a fun and energetic dance style providing a great way of keeping fit too!

Ages: 5+
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including Modern, Jazz, Lyrical and Classical Ballet.

Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Our contemporary teacher, Isobelle, works with the students individually in the lesson, with students being able to have the confidence to be creative, improvise and use the freedom of movement.

Ages: 5+
You see Street dance everywhere from music videos to reality TV shows, on stage and on screen (think the Step Up film and TV series!). It comes from the social dance styles of Hip Hop, Locking, Breaking, Popping and House.

A dance style that evolved outside dance studios in any available open space. The key elements which make street dance what it is are groove, character, originality, intention, creativity and social interaction.

Street dance is a fun and great social class which builds the children's confidence and self belief.

Musical Theatre

Ages: 5+
A form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a Musical, humour, pathos, love, anger are communicated through words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole. We cover singing, drama and movement in Musical theatre.

Singing musical songs to the latest pop or ballad song. Musical theatre performers are often referred to as “triple threats” because they can do it all - dance, sing and act!
